Who Won the Battle?- Raavan or Yamraj

Read Time:4 Minute, 22 Second

Ravana, the king of the demons, was filled with pride because of the boon of Brahma ji. By defeating Kubera, he became the master of Lanka. He snatched Pushpak Vimana. After the Yakshas fled, the demons settled in Lanka.

The terror of Ravana spread all over the Universe. Be it gods, be it humans, everyone remains in terror. Ravana started thinking himself as the master of the universe. He enjoyed torturing people.

One day he was flying in Pushpak Vimana. Similarly, Devvarshi Narad ji appears in the middle of ancient times. Ravana bowed down to him.

Narad ji said – “Ravana, the power of prayer is much greater than Brahma ji.” You are the most alive. Still I do not understand one thing.

Why do you sell my humans? If the weapon is to prove your power, then go to Yamraj. If you defeat Yamraj, you will be called the King of Universe

After listening to Narad ji, Ravana said – ‘ Devarshi, you have said it right. I pledge that I will defeat all the four Lokpals and going to Yampuri now. ‘I will kill Yama, the son of Surya, who killed all laws.’ Having said this, Ravana started towards the south.

Narad ji also went towards Yampuri and reached there before Ravana. He saw that Yamraj has paid for the sins and virtues of salvation to Agni Sakshat. Seeing Narad ji came, Yamraj bowed down to him.

Said – ‘Devarshi, is everyone well? How was your visit today?’

Narad ji said – I am here to alert you. Listen to me with a calm mind and immediately take measures to protect yourself. Because Ravana is coming to fight with his army. I have come here earlier only to warn you. By the way, I know very well that I will not be able to win from you.

While talking about Yamraj and Narad, Ravana’s Pushpak Viman is visible.

Ravan saw both heaven and hell. The pious souls were happy in heaven on the strength of their good deeds. On the other hand, the sinners were getting terrible Punishments.

Ravana is watching this for a few moments, then he frees the hell-dwellers. The Yamdoots wished him forgiveness, he had to accept defeat in front of Ravana’s power.

In a short while, Yamdoot Vairaat came and started fighting with Ravana. By then the demons had also come.

He broke Ravana’s Pushpak Vimana. But the rest of the moment Pushpak Vimana again became the same as before. This was the effect of Lord Brahma.

Pushpak Vimana was not going to be destroyed even after being broken repeatedly.

A fierce battle took place between the Yamdoots and the demons. Some Yamdoots started showering arrows on Ravana as well.

Ravana was badly injured by his attack. Didn’t say anything about Pushpak Viman, but Ravana got upset. His armor was cut. Blood started flowing through the body. Seeing his condition, even the demons came in front of him in fear.

Then Ravana released them by saying ‘Adhikaro-Tharo’ and used the divine weapon named Pashupat. As soon as it was released, that weapon lit up like fire. Dazzled everywhere. Due to the influence of Pashupat, Yamraj’s soldiers were destroyed. Not a single one is left. Look at this, Ravana laughed out loud and said – ‘I have conquered Yamraj.’

When Yama, the son of the Sun God, heard the lion’s cry of Ravana, he became very angry. Immediately, his charioteer brought his special divine chariot. Even Kaal, the god of time, came to the fore. Due to this all the gods got very scared. Yama mounted his divine chariot and went to face Ravana.

Yamraj injured Ravana by hitting him. He got angry and shot many arrows at Yamraj. He realized that Yamraj was also as powerful as him. But Ravana did not want to give up and run away. He again started fighting really hard.

Kaal became very angry and told Yamraj that he wanted to punish someone very quickly who had done something wrong.

Yamraj asked Kaal to wait as he was going to use a special device called Time Bar on someone.

He picked up his special weapon and was about to strike Ravana when suddenly fire appeared and started burning everything around.

Even the gods were watching very closely as Yama and Ravana were fighting each other in a great battle.

Yamraj was about to punish someone when Pitamah Brahma appeared and stopped him by holding his hand.

Said: “Wait Yamraj, listen to me before punishing.” I gave a boon to Ravana that he would not be killed by the gods.

If I take back the special boon that I have given, it will not be fair because it will destroy the importance of that boon.

Hearing this, Yamraj immediately imposed a punishment. Said… My religion is to respect both boon and punishment.

If someone takes away our self-esteem, it is as if we no longer have a place to call home. And when I cannot overcome this darkness, it is futile to keep trying to fight.

Yamraj left and now no one could see him.

He was confident that he had defeated Yama, so he went back to his home in Lanka.
